Hi there. I have tried to copy some files from one partition to another but I have encountered CRC error and was not able to finish this operation. Somewhere on Internet I found that this means my hard drive has bad sectors. Is this serious issue and can I fix it somehow? Thank you in advance.

Hello. Bad sectors on drives are a good sign that hard drive is ready to be replaced. They are not big issue in the beginning but they can spread and then larger and larger parts of hard drive are becoming unusable. You can try to fix them with Windows built in utility. Right click on drive that has bad sectors, choose Properties – Tools and click Check now. In the dialog box select both check boxes and restart computer. With some luck bad sectors will be fixed.
