| Hello. I am using AVG free edition, and since recently am receiving strange popups from it. Its email scanner says something like autopop3 is trying to connecting to econom.nsc.ru. I suppose this must be some kind of virus or spyware, since I do not use any account or anything related to Russian domain. Only, when I scan for viruses, AVG do not detect any. Does anyone know about this strange behavior? |

| I think it might be you do not have a virus. AVG e-mail scanner can report something like that, and people have similar problems. This massage is due to your email client (I don’t know which one you use) trying to download email automatically. And this Russian domain might be server of a company that is in some way related to your ISP, or providing services for it. This is what might be a reason, as I found in some forum discussions, but it will be no harm to use some other virus detection tool, spy remover or whatever. |
