I use internet every day at work and home. Since four months ago, I could not defend from various combinations of viruses and malwares. I even tried reinstalling Windows from the beginning but it did not help for a longer period. After a few days on the Internet, I would have the same problems again. Now I have the annoying dial up window whenever I start computer. What is that?

From your symptoms, I am almost certain that you have a virus on your computer. To be more precise you have a virus from category of 'dialer'. Anyway, first thing you have to do is to clear your machine of viruses. By my own experience, a combination of AVG and SpyBot Search & Destroy is the best tool for that purpose. Both of those programs are freewares, which is good. They are very efficient, which is even better. They are representing a real deathly combination for most viruses. The best proof for that is that I am also on the Internet almost every day, and I do not have any problems. If you have Microsoft Windows XP do not forget to install SP2. If you will have the dialer after doing this, you would have to reinstall the Windows from the beginning.
