Hello. I am building computer from components taken from three old computers. Motherboard is an old socket7 board and I have AMD K6 500 processor. The problem is that when I power up computer I can hear only beeps and can not see any picture. Can you help me to get this old computer working?

Hello. Old processors do not have voltage auto detection. So you will have to manually set things like CPU voltage, FSB speed, memory settings etc. Those beeps you hear from your old socket 7 board are probably caused with improper settings in BIOS regarding to some things I have mentioned earlier. You can interpret BIOS beeps if you find list of error codes that BIOS reproduces like this. This list can usually be found on BIOS manufacturer web site.
