Hello, I have a problem with importing .pst files into Outlook 2003. I tried opening a backed-up .pst file from an old installation, which used Outlook Express (on Win XP), but the old version of Outlook on this old computer won't except it. I get the ".pst is not compatible" error message, and I'm not sure what it means. Not that it's impossible to import an older pst file from a newer version of Outlook, does it? Is there any way around this? Thanks.

It's strange that you're having this issue with Outlook 2003. If I remember correctly, there was the exact same problem with importing .pst files from the '03 to older versions, and tht was because since 2003, Outlook uses the Unicode format to export into .pst. A newer version shouldn't have this compatibility issue with Outlook 2003. Still, it's possible that the formats have changed again, and only the Powers that Be at MS know why – you should try saving the .pst from OE in another format – just find the "Export" related menu options, don't use the default wizard. You might be able to import that file.
