| Ever since I installed Zone Alarm, I can't get my file sharing applications to work. Shareaza, uTorrent, you name it they just can't connect. They can't be all using the same port range, can they? Anyway, I specified the required port numbers in the DSL modem's setup, so it's not the internal firewall, it's ZA. How do I configure it to allow for my programs to work? TIA. |

| One of the main advantages of Zone Alarm when compared to other firewalls is it's ease of use its configuration is mostly self-explanatory. Open the main window by double-clicking the ZA icon, and go to the Program Control tab. Once there you should see a long list of applications and modules that ZA handles access permissions for. Scroll down to find your problematic program, and set the "trust level" you want. When it's all in the green, you're good to go. |
