My friend has recently reinstalled my PC, because my previous installation of Win XP was completely unfunctional because of the viruses. After reinstalling the system, he installed both Zone Alarm and Avast Antivirus. The problem is of another kind now  I suppose my system is fully protected now, but I can not use it like I did before before, for spending hours and hours on the Internet. It prevents me from doing almost anything on the net. What shall I do?

Well, I think you should ask your friend to stop by again, and configure those two programs for you. I had that Zone Alarm installed earlier, when Windows itself didn’t have its own firewall, and it really did great job for the safety of my computer. But since Windows XP I do not use it anymore, since Windows firewall with all the fixes does the perfect job. And for the Avast AV  Well, it confused me, pretty much when I tried it  It confused me so much that I uninstalled it, after I couldn’t access any sites, and couldn’t find the right way to configure it for an hour.Never used them together, and I can only guess what kind of trouble it can cause.
