Yahoo Messenger random disconnects

Hello! I have bought my webcam, but I have a problem with it. I am running Windows XP Professional operating system with Service Pack 2 installed and I am using Yahoo! Messenger. I have connected webcam to computer, but my friends cannot see it. Also, I have a problem with random disconnections too. Help, please!

Hello! Well I think that maybe your firewall makes troubles. Check if your firewall (or other security software) allows to your webcam access to the internet. I am sure that security software sees it as a threat. Also, try to change in Preferences -> Connection in Yahoo Messenger use No Proxy.
