I’m just not sure which one I should buy. I wan to buy it so that my son can play but I would also like him to be able to use the console for some other and more educational purposes. What do you guys think is the best solution? I’m totally inexperienced when it comes to gaming consoles but I somehow like Xbox because of it’s name. Thanks for any info on this!

If you want your son to use it for something more than just playing games then I wouldn’t recommend console at all. You should spend a bit more money and buy your son a PC – at least that’s what I think. But if you really want to buy him a gaming console which one should it be depends on your boy’s age. I suppose that he is still very young because if he wasn’t he’d be buying his own console already. If my guess is correct and he is under 10, I’d buy him GameCube since the games that are usually played on it are more appropriate for such age.
