Xbox360 Crashes constantly

My Xbox started giving me a strange and really stupid message whenever I put a game DVD in it’s drive. It says that I should put the disc into Xbox3600 drive…and it is an Xbox360 drive. After I’ve tried this a few times, it just started crashing whenever I try to play any kind of game. I used to play these games just a few days ago. My Xbox was shut down for a few days. Do you think it’s the cause for my problem? It’s mad at me since I wasn’t paying enough attention to it for some time? I’m joking but really, if someone here has an idea about what I should do now, please write soon!

Have you modded your Xbox perhaps? I suppose you’d mention it if you had. And I suppose you’ve already tried cleaning the discs. The only other thing I can think of is calling the support team. I know they can be really annoying and that fixing even a smallest thing when your warranty has expired can be extremely expensive but right now I don’t think you have any other option. Have you tried the movie discs just to see what happens? If it’s the same, then you’ll probably have to buy a new DVD drive.
