Hi there. I have installed wrong drivers for my sound card and now my sound doesnt work as my CD drive is not recognized. I have tried to return my Windows to a previous state using System Restore tool earlier and it worked just fine, but now It just wont allow me to. The option is grayed for the System restore inside the System Properties. And I dont know how to enable that. Please help and thanks in advance.

Hello. Reboot your computer and enter the safe mode. Tap your F8 key rapidly while booting. When you see a list of choices to boot, than select safe mode. When Windows loads into safe mode, than type the services.msc inside your run box and find System Restore service there. Right click on properties and start the service if it is stopped. Or enable it if it is disabled. Than reboot, log in normally and try again. But, it might happen you dont have any restore point, because disabling the service, automatically deletes all restore points.
