Workgroup Access Problem

I have a problem with accessing a workgroup on my network. I have been using computer for two years and I never had any problem. Since yesterday, I cannot manage to connect to my server. A friend told me that network firewall is probably blocking my access. Should I maybe setup some direct cable connection?

If you did not install some new programs or drivers at your computer lately, I do not think that your problem is connected to the OS of your computer. Maybe you have some virus on your computer. That is probably the reason why your network firewall will not let you access to the server. I think you should do a complete check of your PC. For that problem, you have to install few programs. For anti-spyware software, I would recommend you to download and install SpyBot Search & Destroy. For anti-virus software, I can recommend you AVG. Both of those programs are freewares and very efficient.
