I bought a printer and I've been using it for a month. When I try to print document using word xp, I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Word is background printing the document”. Usually everything is ok. But every now and then my PC freezes and I have to restart it. Does anybody know what’s wrong? Thanks.

This is the first thing that came to my mind: printing documents in the background means that as the document is being printed, you can continue editing or viewing the same or other documents. This requires more memory so if you’re multitasking and don’t have that much ram that may be the cause of your problem. But there is a solution since you can turn this feature off. You should go to "Tools" section, click "Options" and under it choose “Print” tab. Here you only have to uncheck "Background printing” and click "OK" to close the dialog box. I hope this helped.
