Hello,
Im a Word user for a long time, but never before I had this kind of problem. Ive got the attachment in a mail and after I opened it I got this message:
runtime error!
program: c:\program files\microsoft office\office10\winword.exeThis application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.

After this I close Word by Clicking on OK button then Word starts in a safe mode. Then I get the same message again.

By your description looks like you have a problem with a virus or spyware program. The suspicious thing that led me to that conclusion is that all of your trouble begins with a mail opening. Probably the attachment was infected by virus or spyware. Do you use some anti virus program? And how about anti-spyware? If you dont use them then you should consider doing so, if you use maybe you should think of changing it with some more reliable program. For spyware you can use Microsoft anti-spyware which works good and best of all its free. You should also try to repair you current version of Word or try to reinstall it. And then get some good antivirus protection, for example Avast has a free edition that can suit home usage needs. From now on you could also take care about things that youre opening on yours computer, and try to avoid unknown senders, and open just trusted attachments.
