Hello. I'm having trouble formatting the date input from Excel into Word during a mail merge. Specifically, I get an incorrect date format I want dd/mm/yy, which is what I see in Excel, but it turns out as mm/dd/yyyy. I don't know how to set the parameters for the date format in Excel. Any help would be great, thanks.

Well, if you're sure it's Excel that's changing the format, then the easiest solution would be to just save the source file as txt (with tabbed delimitation). You can use that to import to Word, which would accept it as is. However, if it's Word that's changing it to the preferred format, this still might not work

Hi I am getting the exact same problem..
Your suggestion to use a text file worked!
However why is it showing the correct format in excel. And not during the mail merge.
That is it shows dd/mm/yyyy in excel.
And then after the mail merge it shows: mm/dd/yyyy |
