Hello. I have problem with wireless signal strength. It frequently varies between excellent and poor. I have D-Link wireless ADSL modem and router and Toshiba A200 laptop. I am not moving laptop from its place so it can not be the reason for signal fluctuations. I hope you will give me some hints if you have any.

Hi. Wireless signal can be very unstable because many things ca interfere with it. Cordless phones, microwave ovens, radio frequencies, water, metal etc. Also, there is a possibility that some of your hardware is malfunction. To rule this possibility out place laptop near the router and see how it behaves. If signal variations continue then it is your hardware in problem here. Otherwise, I can suggest you to find better position for laptop or to buy signal booster or better antenna.
