Hi, all. I'm having difficulties connecting my network to the Web through my new DSL connection. I'm using a Linksys router, and a DSL modem that Verizon provided. I only have access on the machine with the modem, so I assume it's an issue with the router? I checked the internal firewalls, and they are OK … what else could cause this? Thanks in advance!

IIRC, Verizon provides Westel gateways to some customers? If this is the case, your DSL modem is actually a modem-router, so that's why it's conflicting with the other router you have. Two options here: either drop your Linksys all together and let the Westel handle it, or set the Westel to bridge mode (working as modem only) and keep the Linksys router. You should be able to configure the connection in either case.
