I know a few things about wireless networking but I found myself puzzled when I read something like Wireless G networking. I would like to know what it means. I have asked a few friends but they did not have a clue. So, I would like to ask you to explain this to me (as clearly as you can, I am not a technical kind of guy)

Wireless G networking is a term to describe g amendment to IEEE 802.11 standard. First introduced was IEEE 802.11 standard which was revised a few times. IEEE 802.11 g is about five times faster then its ancestor. All devices that have 802.11 G are following this standard and can give better performance then devices following former and older standards.
