| I know there are pop-ups that get you by offering to rid your computer of spam (even though that's what they are), but this Winfixer thing, it looked really convincing. It scanned my computer for "spyware", and offered the full install to rid me of what it found, but I wasn't sure. When I tried clicking it close, even the X button opened a new window, and that convinced me. I think I managed to close everything that popped up in time. Was I right? Is this one of those spam installation things? |

| Winfixer, as far as I know, is *old*. Most pop-up blockers today should keep this one out of your system. In other words, yes, this piece of sh*t is indeed spam… if you want to call it that, even though the more appropriate term would be adware or just malware. |
