Is it possible? I'm planning to install FreeBSD on a partition (either second or third) pf my 120 GB Hard Drive. The HDD was partitioned into 4 parts at Win XP Pro install. I have data on both partitions in question, but with sector control I expect to be able to keep the FreeBSD install w/out losing any, am I right?

If I remember correctly, FreeBSD will need to format the drive anyway after it's created. I might be wrong, but just in case, backup your data on some other partitions, delete what you don't need, and install away. I don't think there's an option for avoiding the post-install format, but if I'm wrong someone will correct me here…
