I have installed Service Pack 2 on Windows XP Professional. After reboot I logged in Windows and I found out that Windows XP task bar is missing. I rebooted again but taskbar just is not there. Strangely, when I enter safe mode taskbar shows regularly. Do you have any explanation for this behavior?

This is a known issue that can happen after Service Pack 2 installation. Windows XP taskbar problem is happening because of corrupted user account settings. You will have to create new user account in safe mode. When you create this account transfer all files from previous account to this one. To copy all files enter Documents and Settings folder and the Documents folder. Select all files and copy them to Documents folder.
