OK, so I installed XP for the first time, and am now looking to get that SP 2 update. However, I stumbled upon something called "Service Pack 2 for MSDN". Having no idea what MSDN (I assume it's not related to ISDN?), I had to confirm it had something to do with Windows … and it does, but I still don't get what it is, and do I have it? Do I need the SP2 for MSDN, or should I just download the regular one?

Short answer – Just download the regular one.
Slightly longer answer – It's exactly the same, but if you're not an MSDN subscriber you won't be able to download that "version" anyway.
Long answer – MSDN stands for "Microsoft Developer Network", and the reason you're seeing that separate download link is because SP 2 was pre-released for developers, and then fur you (OK, us) commoners. The final version, this all being 2 years earlier, is exactly the same AFAIK.
