Hello. I have one old PC running on windows 98, and I want to connect that box to my friends local network via wireless gear. This machine is incredible fast. No matter that I am used to work with my new Core II Duo and I dont want to throw this away, but instead of it, I think I have found a purpose for it. Never mind that, what is the procedure and what equipment I need? Thanks in advance.

Ok. You have the wireless card? You have you favorite browser and email client? And a Windows 98 CD? First install and connect the WiFi network card if you already didnt. Install and configure NetBeui on your Win 98 machine. The rest of the things is practically the same for the TCP/IP settings, and you can find out more about them byu asking your friend.
