| I have relatively old computer with Windows 98. I have recently installed Frontpage 2000 and I had no problems with the installation. However, i could not input the text during the creating of a new web page. Also, when I started to key-in, I got a message of illegal operation and the program shuts down. If anyone could help me solve this, that would be great. |

| There have been several users with problems similar to your own. It seems to me that the main problem here are corrupted files. You should click start/run and type SFC. Then press enter and system file checker will appear. What you need to do is repair your office installation. Also, you might want to repair your Internet Explorer as the two programs are very integrated so a problem in the browser might cause the problem in your Frontpage. If the repair does not work, I suggest you go to add/remove programs in your control panel and remove the complete Office. Reboot your computer and install everything over again. Hopefully, this will solve your problems. |
