Hello. I must add one windows 2003 platform as domain controller inside already configured windows 2000 network. I know that this is not that much easy procedure, and I also know that I am not going to see big “welcome” at the 2000 network entrance. I just need few basic and important steps in order to complete the whole procedure. Thanks in advance guys.

First you must make your self sure that all of 2000 workstation computers do have SP4 installed on them. Copy the i386 directory somewhere on an local drive of the Master Schema W2K domain controller machine, from the 2003 server CD. Do everything with minimal activity. Then you’ll need few more commands after this into the i386 directory you have copied. First type “adprep /forestprep”. Wait for a while, and then on next prompt type “adprep /domainprep”. This should be it in short.
