| Well he knows why or it just happened by mistake. You can try to boot to the Windows XP / 2000 cd/ press enter to start set up/ for the license agreement press F8 / chose when they ask the option Repair with pressing the R key/ wait till it run through and installs and reboot then press shift F10 to open command prompt, of it’s windows 2000, wait until it is registering components and then pres Shift F10 to open command prompt. For Windows XP either type in "nusrmgr.cpl" w/o quotation marks at the command prompt and press enter. For windows 2000 type in "control.exe" w/o quotation marks and press enter. This should open up the user accounts window and the regular control panel. Mark the users and then remove or change passwords, apply those settings and close it . then close command prompt an your new set up is running after Finish. The other way is running boot from the safe mode by pressing the F8 key at start up and then logging in Administrators account. Place for password, unless you made it before suppose to be blank, so just press Enter. It would be allowed to reset or remove password then. If you still want to secure your PC with password then go / Click Start,/ point to Programs / click Control Panel / double-click Administrative Tools/ and then double-click Computer Management/ Expand the Local Users And Groups object under System Tools/ click the Users folder/ in the right pane, right-click the appropriate user object, and then click Set Password / Type the appropriate password / click OK. Click OK to approve and apply this change. Some people are recommending some password reactivating and changing tools like ERD commander or some other ones on which I bumped on the net ,that are kind of rebooting the system, repairing, but they all have some warnings that maybe using them won’t be safe. So choice is all yours. |
