| I have a Windows 2000 internet problem. Sometimes, the connection can not be established. I have a cable connection. It is connected though Ethernet card. Most of the time, it is working fantastic. But, in recent days, the connection is refusing to connect to my ISP. I have tried to restart the computer, to restart the modem itself, but nothing is helping me. Also, when it finally gets connected, the data transfer is very slow in first 5 minutes. Is it the problem in the Windows 2000? |

| You main problem is in the ISP, I think. Maybe, they are doing some repairs on the internet infrastructure. Also, your cables might be damaged. Check them all to see if that is your problem. There are many things that could go wrong, so you must check them all, one by one. Your Windows 2000 is not the problem. It is very stable and good Operating System. Try to update your Ethernet card drivers, just in case. But I think that the ISP is causing this problems. |
