| Hello. This not a serious issue with Win XP. You just installed too many programs that are starting up with Windows. There are many such programs like antivirus, antispyware, control center for video card drivers, some aggressive multimedia applications like QuickTime etc. Go to Start – Run and type msconfig. Click Startup tab and disable all applications that are not essential (in fact you can leave only antivirus and antispyware, nothing else is important at start up and can be run later if you need it). You will notice that Windows is starting much faster after this. |
