Win 98 freezing on startup

Hello! I have very weird problem and I hope you will help me to solve it. I am running Windows 98 operating system and this system is freezing on startup. ). I have never had this problem before and I am not too familiar with software, so, I am waiting your help. Thank you in advance!

Hello! This problem may be caused because of many reasons: could be hardware or software. Regard hardware, I suggest you to check your memory sticks; could be that your motherboard makes this problem, too. If hardware is not cause of this problem - try to repair your system – if you cannot, reinstall it
