I have sort of a weird request/question for you… I need to make a boot floppy disk for Windows 98 for my friend, because she needs to reinstall, and she can't boot off the CD because without the floppy, the system won't recognize her CDD. No problem, I said when she asked, but then I remembered – I have Windows XP installed! I looked around but couldn't find any "Boot 98" option anywhere. Is there one? Is it possible to make a boot disk for Win98, from Win XP?

I never tried it myself, but I would imagine it can't be done. Still, there's plenty of other options. You could find the contents of an, as you say, Boot 98 disk on the internet, so just download them to floppy. Or, just get the drivers for her CD drive and copy them onto the floppy, sans the system.
