Everything worked fine on the Internet until two months ago. Now I couldn't defend from viruses and malwares. I even reinstalled my Windows 2000 a couple of times but it did not help me for a long. A day or two on the Internet and I have the same problems again. A friend told me that I need some service pack for my Windows 2000 server. Can that help?

If you are sure that you have viruses, you have first to clear those viruses from your machine. By my experience, that problem should be treated with combination of SpyBot Search & Destroy and AVG. Those programs are freeware, which is not reducing their efficiency. Some people prefer other browsers, because they think that IE is obsolete and unsafe. I have to disagree with them. I am also on the Internet every day, I am using IE and I do not have any problems. Just be sure to use IE 7. Your friend is right. You will need to install latest service packs from the Internet for your OS. Those things with SpyBot and AVG should eliminate your virus problem.
