I have three networked computers at my home. They are connected over router and Cat5 LAN cables. Two computers are running Windows XP Professional and one is running Windows XP Home edition. When I try to access shared files from computer with Windows XP home WinXP network password dialog pops up. I enter valid user name and password but access is forbidden, regardless of it. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a usual problem when you try to access shared network resources on Windows XP Professional with computer that is running Windows XP home edition. The problem is that Windows XP home uses only simple file sharing and needs to log on another computer as a guest account. Guest account is disabled by default in XP Professional. Enable guest account and configure it so username and password are the same as username and password on XP home.
