Hi, I am having some problems regarding my PC that’s running under WinME. About a week ago I updated the ZoneAlarm and since then I have a problem with shutting down my PC. When I click ‘shut down’ the icons disappear first as normal but then nothing more happens. My desktop picture just stands there and I even waited for half an hour once and nothing happened. And so I have to turn off my PC manually. Could it be that this ZA update has caused my problem?

I have heard about such things before. It is ZoneAlarm that is causing your problem and this happens only to Win ME users as far as I’ve heard. You should get rid of that update if you want your PC to be able to shut down properly. It’s not even that important to update your firewall except if you’re using it as an antivirus program. This is the easiest way. Still, I think you could get rid of that buggy Win ME too.
