Hello. I have old ADI 17’’ monitor that is working fine, still. My computer died and I will buy a new one but I will try to avoid buying new monitor due to budget issues. Most computers are coming with Vista preinstalled these days so I am worried if Vista will run on old monitor like mine. Or I will have to find computer with Windows XP preinstalled?

Hello. I can not see reason why Vista would not work with your monitor. If video card supports Vista and can show picture on monitor then you will have no problem with it. But, you should really consider buying a new monitor. I find monitor to be very important part of any computer configuration because you are spending all the time watching at it and bad monitor can have very unpleasant effect on your eyes.
