I wanted to get a broadband internet connection and so I applied for it at one of the local ISP firms. After a while I just got an e-mail from them saying that my PC isn’t broadband compatible but they didn’t tell me what exactly is wrong with my computer. I know my PC is a bit old, but I didn’t know there were some broadband requirements. I have a Pentium 2, 600MHz that’s running WinXP. What do you think is wrong?

As far as I know, your meet the hardware requirements. Are you sure that they didn’t say that the problem is your phone line? I suppose that you could write them an e-mail asking for an explanation. Or perhaps there is more info on this available on their website. I think that most of the ISP have minimum requirements for broadband listed on their websites.
