| Since the show up of the first PC computers there was a race, right? The performance and the market race between two leading processor developers. AMD and Intel. There were so many competitions, various products from them, each one new is much more faster than it’s previous sample, and that’s the way it is going to be in the future. Intel has many flaws so far (Celerons @ 300mhz without L2 cache at all, for example) just as AMD with their hot, hot, and very hot Athlon XP series. Anyway, it seems that they were always even. But with Intel’s Core Duo now, where is AMD? Who is better now? I need some opinions on this. |

| Well, my opinion is that Intel was always the leader. No matter what people are saying, I never saw that some of their processor is fried to the death. And believe or not, those Celeron specimens you were mentioning, are still computing! Intel always had much, much more durable processors than AMD will ever had. When the P4 Northwood showed up on the market, AMD company has suffered complete shock to the system. The rumors and benchmarks speaking vice versa, were nothing but a pure lie. That’s what I think. Intel just rules. Always did. |
