| Hi there. I am building small home network. And maybe later, I will try to expand my network via wireless technology, and point it to my office. Its perfectly visible, and the air distance is not over 200 meters. So, which wireless little USB thing will give me the most reliability? I need experienced opinions. Any answer should be great. |

| Hey man, my advice for you is to forget about wi-fi over USB, if you are planning to use home network sharing with your office. That means you really need something reliable. First of all, USB transfer loads a lot of code for your processor. Much more than PCI cards. Yes, USB is fast and reliable, but not for serious, longterm network connections. If you dont want headaches, than build your own antenna, point to other one at your home. Youll probably need a wireless router, but everything depends on your future network structure. Dont save your money when you start building your network. And remember, surfing the internet trough Wi-Fi USB dongle is one thing. WiFi network + internet is completely different. |
