I know there are a lot of sites out there for optimization of mozilla/firefox browsers, but I can't be bothered to search through them all, so I'm looking for recommendations here. Which are the best ones, and are there any that offer guides to the tweaks (in addition to just having them as downloads). Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by tweak and optimization, and does that include (by your definition) the extensions and other add-ons. If it does, the site you want is definitely addons.mozilla.org. There you'll find plenty of downloadable browser adjustments, and instructions as well. If you're not referring to extensions, but to specialized programs that optimize the speed and functionality of your browser, try searching tweakfactor.com instead.
