Heh and I have extra feature that I have no idea what is it for, which came with my network adapter and it is called 1394 net adapter?! What the heck is that and why I need it for? BTW I installed new Windows XP earlier, so I am even more confused. Have I made some mistake, or was my Windows CD corrupted in some way? Could anyone explain to me - what is this?

Oh I think youre just got spooked by the new Windows, he he. They have option to bring 1394 net connection along with their system, your own FireWire card. But you are allowed to ignore their suggestion, so you could disable it from the start / control panel / network connection. I honestly dont know if they are bringing with that adding some kind of spam, maybe you should check it out with your AV.
