Every time I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with our debts something else comes up.

I broke our washing machine last week and it will cost 375 buck to fix it. I can find a new one for that price!

Anybody have a winning lottery ticket they can give me?

I understand it happens but I seem to cursed when it comes to mechanical items. I break them before they should wear out. Thankfully we just finished paying off the TV that died recently. Now we just take that payment and apply it towards this.

I'm without a dishwasher for 3 more weeks.......wahhhhhhhhhh. two weeks ago we got the call from Sears "your appliances are in" hubby was on his way up north and decided not to make a trip empty-handed....so we load up my dishwasher and he'd pick-up the new one on his way home.

get's there and only the refrigerator arrived....everything else on back-order. Should have taken the stove Wink

That happens here, too. Fortunately you got the TV done when the other broke!

It makes you almost scared sometimes to buy luxury items because you don't know when something catastrophic is going to happen. Confused

I know, I am just frustrated with having to replace stuff every so often. I already have to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a whole bunch of Fencing so I can repair our Privacy fence.

Well we found a new washer at Lowe's and they had a no interest for one year deal so that is a HUGE plus. It will even be delivered today and they will haul away our old one.

One little victory this weekend.

Do those "one year, interest-free" deals really save any money? Doesn't that interest get added on to the total cost, anyway? Or does that depend upon whether or not one pays off in a year?

As long as you pay it all off in the interest free period. Otherwise they take the 12 months and calculate the interest at some rate ( I never looked it up) and the tack that on to the amount that you now owe.

If you do sign up for these kind of deals you NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU PAY IT OFF in the period that they talk about about.
