What is max CPU upgrade?

Hello there. My name is John and I am first time here. I am trying to upgrade my Compaq 5BW120 computer. First thing I would like to upgrade is processor. Currently CPU is Celeron 600 MHz. I would like to know what is max possible CPU upgrade on this computer. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi John and welcome. According to HP web site Compaq 5BW120 has motherboard with Intel i850 chipset. This means that maximum CPU upgrade is Celeron or Pentium III at 1 GHz. However, even this processors can be limited with current BIOS version so you will possibly have to upgrade BIOS to be able to use this processors.
