Hi people. I am running Windows XP Professional with service pack 2 installed. My system was infected several days ago and I think that I removed that infection successfully. However, I noticed that some system files (like run32.dll) are corrupted or missing. I would like to know is there some good program to fix these corrupted files.
Hi there. You do not need any third party program to fix corrupted or missing system files on Windows XP Professional. You have that tool already in Windows. Insert Windows XP installation CD in optical drive, open command prompt and enter following command:” sfc /scannow”. This program will scan your computer and change back to default state all system files. Do not forget to log on as administrator when running this program.
