Hey there! A friend just brought me something he downloaded from internet – a program I asked him to download but it’s some .ISO file and I don’t know how to open it. I really need to install that program soon so I’d appreciate any help you guys here might offer. I suppose this is a real newbie question but I hope you don’t mind. Thanks!

That type of file is in fact a complete image of a CD and therefore it is often used for transferring whole CDs trough the internet. You should be able to open it with ‘Nero’ and burn it to a CD. Then you should be able to install the program you wanted from the CD. If something goes wrong, that will probably be because the download wasn’t complete or the file has been damaged somehow. Otherwise it should be OK. Apart from being illegal of course.
