I am playing an online game that proposes me to host a server if I want to. I am not very good with these terms so I do not know what it means. What will I get if I host a server and is this possible at all? What it will mean to my computer and are there any security risks? I hope you will replay to this question soon.

Hosting a server means that you will be able to create a game and other players will connect to your computer. You will have to open certain ports in firewall or router and to allow them access to some game files on your computer, so it includes security risks. Also, this will mean significant increase in bandwidth usage so your ISP might not be happy with it. You should contact them first and see if you have rights to host a game server.
