Western Digital external HD volume not appearing

Hello! I have Macintosh computer and Western Digital external hard drive. However, Western Digital external hard drive volume not appearing. I do not know why. My hard drive is 500 GB capacity and my friend has same type of it and he has not any problem with volume appearing. What to do?

Hello! I assume that you use OS 9. Well, if I am right, then it is normal because your OS cannot see volume of your hard drive. Namely, OS 9 cannot see more then 200 GB. So, I suggest you to make few volumes not larger then 200 GB and I am sure that you will solve your existing problems.
