Website FTP uploading issue

I have a problem with FTP upload using my new Mac. I tried using some free FTP programs but it didn’t work – everything would just freeze after a few minutes from the start. Then I decided to spend some money and buy a FTP program believing that it would solve the problem but it didn’t – the same thing keeps on happening even though I use Cute FTP Mac now. I really need some help here ASAP. Thanks in advance!

Are you using it in a ‘passive’ mode? If not, try it. And if you already are in a ‘passive’ mode, the issue might be caused by your ISP. You should perhaps call them and ask for some help. It may also be that the firewall of the PC you’re trying to upload files to is causing this kind of problem especially if it’s working under Windows and using it’s internal firewall. Where are you trying to upload the files to? After you provide us with more info we might be able to offer you some more help perhaps.
