I am a new user of a PC. My parents both me one last month. I finished a couple of courses about using a PC and some of them were for experienced users. I got interested in that matter and now I want to get some more information. To be precise, I want to upgrade a processor on my PC.

If you have some basic knowledge in electronics and know how to work with a screwdriver, that is not the problem. First, open the case and remove the cooler over the processor. Now you could release the processor by pulling the handle from the side of the socket. When you release it, take it out of the slot and replace it with the new one. Be careful to put the processor in the right direction or otherwise you will damage it. When you place the processor in the socket and secure it, put the thermal paste over it and then put the cooler back on its place. Because, all new motherboards are jumperless you do not need to do anything more.
