Ok, so I have a question can Ubuntu replace windows completely in matter of playing games? Does it support DirectX or OpenGL normally? And, how to set it up correctly in order to play games? Is the normal installation enough or I need to put some more programs? Thanks for your effort.

I never understood people who are trying to play windows games on linux. Every PC has a windows xp, and now Vista, by default so I dont see a problem for keeping windows platform for playing games, that will work best in windows, and not in some windows emulation under linux. So, I wouldnt bother tweaking any distro for playing games.
