I have tried to play some movies in Windows Media Player but I had no luck wit it. When I started movie Windows Media Player returned an error saying it can not find required codec. I have tried several other movies but result was the same. I am running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 installed. Can you help me with this problem?

This is not a big issue. You will only need to download appropriate codec for movie you are trying to watch. Every compression needs a proper codec so multimedia player can know how to decompress this movie. Probably the best thing to do is to download some codec package like K-lite and install all codec in them. After this you will never have a problem to watch any movie.
