I have tried to use this free software, just because it is free, and I was curious how does it looks like. It looks nice, but I think that I know why is still free, when I compare it with the Sound Forge. After a few crashes of it I did a complete removal. My computer asked me for restart. After the restart, the volume was muted and screwed. I know that I didnt touched anything inside volume controls before uninstall. What could result that?

I am really wondering my self why. Because I did tried the Audacity by my self and did uninstall that program after short period of time, because I didnt liked their philosophy of look and so on. But I didnt suffer anything like you did. I didnt even saw none of crash during some work in it. And how do you mean screwed, was that sound of yours distorted and muted or just muted? Were you forced to reinstall audio drivers for your card afterwards? And which sound card are you using? Maybe the problem was there. Just some incompatible hardware with no good software.
